Lydian was founded in 2021 in Cambridge, MA by a group of talented engineers, scientists, and operators with a mission to enable widespread sustainable flight.
Since its inception, the company has achieved key milestones at an unprecedented pace. They’ve produced their first fuel product and successfully commissioned their pilot demonstration, with full-scale fuel production expected to begin in October 2024.
With lifecycle emissions reductions of up to 99% compared to fossil jet fuel, their novel technology and lower costs make adoption easier, paving the way for a net-zero aviation industry. Lydian is moving quickly to turn a sustainable future into reality.
Lydian asked us to create a mini-documentary to simplify and tell the story of how they reached this point in their journey, while documenting the success of their pilot project. The filming was done over several days, using a Red Komodo with cine lenses, capturing footage in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Raleigh, North Carolina.
